How do You Plan to Change your financial life?
Life is freaking hard! Let no one kid you. I’m not one of those motivational speakers that try to dose you with sweet words or some magically enthusiastic phrases hoping to teach you “Seven simple ways to be a millionaire”. No, there is nothing simple and easy. If it were so, you did be enjoying holidays at the Bahamas instead of reading these words. So how do you change your financial life for the better?
Before we begin, let be true to ourselves. Money doesn’t buy happiness but we all know so well, it sure can buy and get us a lot of stuffs to keep us happy and satisfied. So, why not we figure a way to acquire them? Hence, here are 3 key decisions to change your financial life.
You Need to Read and Learn More But Be Smart About It
You agree with me that learning is one of the most difficult activities one can engage in. if it were that easy, well, we all could be holding a PhD. We frequently hear about how reading is good; but unless you are relaxing along the beach or getting ideas to write your next novel, reading a book by John Grisham or Sidney Sheldon will do. If you want to transform your financial life, no comic or romance novel is going to help you do that.
My advice: focus on reading books on entrepreneurship, finance, coding, psychology, leadership, communication, management, relationship building etc. These areas are what solve real human challenges; you are more likely to get financially rewarded when you pursue an interest in these fields. So next time you get to amazon or your nearest bookshop, make sure you are buying the right books.
Go Out There and Take Some Risk
Yeah! It’s great to get all excited about acquiring some earth-breaking knowledge on how to solve world hunger. But if you sit on your butt, hiding in that little corner of your room, nothing is going to change. You need to step out, do something, sell something , volunteer in your youth groups, join a cause, trade the Forex, hit the gym, start the blog you always imagined, get the canvas and start that painting that will make you the next Picasso.
So what am I saying?
You have a talent which mostly revolve around your passion; Make something out of it. It might feel uncomfortable at first but you know that saying “fake it until you make it”. And remember, if you don’t make the effort change your destiny, life’s going to be a misery until you die.
Invest! Invest! Invest!
Your new idea is earning a few dollars, euro, pounds, you name it. Wow! You can’t believe it worked. Not so fast. The money needs to go into a fund: it could be a mutual fund, investing in the stock market, reinvest back into your current business or buying insurance with it.
Always make sure to consult a financial and investment adviser before you do any of the above. Remember, your life depends on how your investments turn out.
Caution: Don’t be tempted to go party or start binging on some slices of pizza and coca cola or start buying fancy dresses.
This is all I have for you guys. I hope you make the best out of your precious time. Opportunities don’t come but once, actually, they come every day. You have to find and grab it and make it work for you.
Go out there and make those decisions to change your financial life. I’m out!
